Product was given to me from Berglund in order to post my honest opinion.
Over the past two years I have started collecting scarves. Before then, I really wasn’t into wearing scarves unless I went somewhere very cold. And even then, I had two thick ones that I chose from. Now I have….well….more than 2! I love wearing scarves as accessories. I am so glad the cooler weather is coming in because then I have a reason to wear them. When it is warm out, no matter how thin the scarf is, it just looks out of place and makes me feel warm.
Yay for the cooler weather in the evenings! I can now proudly wear my scarves. It is still warm during the day, so I am just sporting my scarves when I go out at night. One company that has an adorable line of scarves is Berglund. Not only are their scarves beautiful and attractive, but they are ethically made.
All Berglund scarves are handcrafted, fair trade, and sustainable. The artistic traditions behind these scarves, stem from indigenous cultures which value the earth’s resources and also value the wisdom inherent in traditions.
I was sent the Bird Family cotton scarf. Berglund carries a variety of scarves including cotton, wool, modal, and lightweight wool. They have a scarves for men and kids too! All vary in prices and designs. I love the Bird Family scarf. Yellow is one of my favorite colors right now, but I don’t own many yellow clothes. I think it works best as an accent color on me.
The cotton is very light-weight, almost sheer. It was handcrafted in India where women are empowered through trade, as well as preserving traditional artisan practices in their work. The scarf is approximately 70” long and 43” wide, with hand rolled ends.
I love my scarf and I want to add a few more Berglund scarves to my growing collection. The cotton scarves are $39.00.
